Having some building work or landscaping done?

Whether you are having an extension, a loft conversion or remodelling the garden, the chances are you are investing a large amount in your home. Managing a building project like these can sometimes be a little stressful but the process can be made a little easier if everyone involved knows what is expected of them. To help we have put together a pack of useful documents to help make sure your project runs smoothly and you don't fall foul of unprofessional workmanship.

Once you have your plans drawn up you can use our Building Work Pack to request estimates from your builder and draw up a bespoke contract before they start work. If it is landscaping then we have a separate contract for that too.

Help if things go wrong

Taking these steps should help protect you from anything going wrong. However, things still can and do sometimes happen. If something does not go according to plan, you need to know what your rights are and what to do to remedy the situation. For example, if there are delays in work, you need to know how to complain to your builder and what to do if things do not improve. Our Building Work Pack includes the letters you need to get your project back on track.
